Main Responsibilities
Primarily responsible for the comprehensive management of the National Tropical Agriculture Science Center, the development of the tropical agricultural scientific and technological innovation base, and the management of scientific and technological innovation related to the Academy's scientific and technological achievements, platforms, projects, and discipline development.
1. Responsible for taking the lead in implementing the operation and management of the National Tropical Agriculture Science Center, and for organizing the formulation and implementation of the development plan for the tropical agricultural scientific and technological innovation base.
2. Responsible for organizing and carrying out strategic research on the development of tropical agricultural scientific and technological innovation; establishing and optimizing the "field + discipline" scientific and technological innovation system and the management of discipline development within the Academy; promoting the implementation of the Academy's "Ten-Hundred-Thousand Science and Technology Project"; and organizing the development of the Academy's scientific and technological innovation evaluation system and incentive mechanisms.
3. Responsible for the cultivation and management of the Academy's scientific and technological achievements, and for organizing applications for national, provincial and ministerial-level science and technology awards; responsible for the cultivation, development and management of academy-level innovation platforms, and for organizing the application and evaluation of national, provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological innovation platforms; responsible for the initiation, acceptance and management of the Academy's fundamental research operating funds, and for organizing applications for major national, provincial and ministerial-level scientific research projects.
4. Responsible for organizing and coordinating scientific and technological work with Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
5. Responsible for organizing and implementing the scientific and technological innovation management work at the Academy headquarters, and for guiding and supervising the operation and management of the Academy's platform institutions that are placed under the professional oversight of this division.
