Symposium on International Cooperation Associated with Talented Young Scientists Program

      On 13 March 2017, a symposium on international cooperation associated with Talented Young Scientists Program (TYSP) was held in Coconut Research Institute (CRI). Project principals in CRI attended, as well as four scientists from Asia and Africa. The director, Prof. Wang Fuyou presided over the meeting.

     Two scientists from Pakistan have worked one year in CRI, their contribution in promoting to sign the agreement on cooperation in science and technology with University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, as well as the introduction of date palm seedlings were affirmed. Two new members from Nigeria and Myanmar will work in CRI till March 2018 and will focus on the optimization of date palm tissue culture system and early identification of “Mantled” oil palm seedlings. The meeting will further deepen the exchange and cooperation between CRI and other research institutions in African and Asia countries.
