On 25th July, a delegation of 4 people led by professor Kettering Byne from Griffith Asia Institute, Griffith University visited CATAS. Li Kaimian, Vice President of CATAS on behalf of CATAS signed a MOU with Prof. Kettering Byne on behalf of Griffith University.

After the signing ceremony, delegates of Griffith Asia Institute, Griffith University introduced the economic research projects of mango industry of Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR), and CATAS counterparts made presentation on economic development of Chinese mango industry. The two sides had in-depth discussions in the potential cooperation directions, projects and exact approaches of cooperation.
In the future, the two sides will conduct cooperative research in tropical agriculture, especially in mango industrial economy field, assist each other in case study, exchange and publish academic materials, etc., and build friendly cooperative relationship in mutual assistance to the preparation of seminars and work meetings.
It is believed that this MOU between CATAS and Griffith University will strengthen cooperation among CATAS, Griffith University and ACIAR. The staff of Division of International Cooperation, Scientific and Technical Information Research Institute, Environment and Plant Protection Research Institute and Analysis and Testing Center of CATAS attended the signing ceremony and symposium.
