On March 25th, vice president Wu Minrui of Republic of the Union of Myanmar visited the Spice and Beverage Institute, CATAS, accompanied by Pr. Zhu Enlin , the vice president of CATAS, and Mr.Tang Bing, the director of the Spice and Beverage Institute.

During the visit, vice president Wu Minrui expressed that both countries have a long tradition of friendship and a good basis for cooperation, in current Myanmar, the inadequate investment in agriculture, and low development level in science&technology are the bottleneck of agriculture, and hope to strengthen agricultural products intensive processing and other areas of cooperation to reach a common development.
Vice President Zhu Enlin introduced the basic situation of CATAS, and the strong scientific research in tropical agricultural technology, looking forward to strengthening cooperation and contributing to the development of tropical agriculture in two countries. Director Tang Bing strengthened to cooperate in the science and technology of tropical spice and beverage crops, woody crops research and development.
