In January 27-31th, 2016, the post scientist Professor Yi Kexian and his team members paid a field visit to Malipo County, Guangnan county and Yanshan County of Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Ethnics Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province for an agricultural development survey. The three counties are typical ones among the rocky desertification areas in Yunnan, Guangxi and Guizhou provinces. The team observed and examined the characteristics, scale and organization of agricultural industry there. The preliminarily results of their investigation indicated that sisal might be suitable for soil and water conservation and ecological restoration in the rocky desertification area because of its high drought and barren tolerance capability.
