近年主持各类科研项目12项，发表了有影响的SCI论文17篇，SCI总影响因子为83.81（文章被引用937篇次），其他论文20多篇。是FAO热带作物培训专家库入库专家和亚太地区椰子产业发展高级专家咨询组成员，Journal of Current Plant Science Research (Revotech Press)编委成员（Editorial Board Members）和国际椰子基因组的专题行动组的骨干成员。现为文昌市第十届政协委员和文昌市第十四届人大常委会经济工作委员会兼职委员，第一届海南欧美同学会理事，2014年被评为中国侨界贡献奖（创新人才奖）。
二、研究方向简介（不超过200字）
开展油棕、椰子低温应答与适应的分子机理和油脂合成与代谢的调控机制的基础研究及相关性状的解析；开展热带油料作物优异性状分子标记开发和功能基因克隆及性状的解析等研究；开展热带油料作物重要农艺性状的QTL关联分析与定位等。
